Three Australian women vacationing off the coast of the mainland got a shock when they returned to their hotel room and found a koala napping on a bed. The koala had apparently roamed around the balconies, then entered the house and found a bed with a blue and pick floral cover to nap on. One of the employees of the hotel said, “They called and said, ‘This is not a prank but there’s a koala who just walked into our house and is sleeping on our bed.’” Wildlife officers reportedly took custody of the koala and will release it back into the wild. A British man says he ran head first into a large, low hanging branch while jogging to work because he was posting an entry onto his Twitter page. James Coleman was tweeting on his Blackberry as he was running and ran into the tree branch before falling onto the pavement, causing a bad black eye. Coleman said, “I guess you could say I feel like a Twit. One minute I was running along posting a tweet, the next I was lying on my back on the pavement in agony. I was a laughing stock at the office. I certainly won’t be tweeting while running anymore.” (UPI)

You know you’re getting your money’s worth out of a wedding reception when the police have to arrest the groom.
Police in Louisiana said a groom was arrested after his nephew refused to abide by the dress code of the reception
hall by pulling up his saggy pants.
Kenner police said the officer on detail at the Crystal Plantation during the wedding reception asked Samuel Lucas,
19, to comply with the dress code — both bride and groom had to sign a contract promising to observe the dress code before using the facility — and pull his pants up higher.
Lucas disputed the officer’s assertion that his underwear was showing. “I have beaucoup witnesses. All my cousins and everything said my pants were not sagging,” he said.
Lucas’ father, Walter Lucas, 52, began arguing with the officer and resisted when the officer attempted to escort
him out of the reception hall. Groom John Lucas, 53, allegedly grabbed the officer’s arms and tried to prevent
him from retrieving handcuffs from his car. The police report said Samuel Lucas shouted and cursed at
the officer during the confrontation.
All three men were arrested on charges of disturbing the peace, while Walter Lucas was also charged with resisting
an officer and the groom was charged with obstruction of police.

Richard Hollingshead, Jr, of Riverton, NJ, opened the theatre and Hollinghead’s nephew, 69-year-old Wick Hollingshead, tells the Philadelphia Inquirer that the original idea, he said, may have come from his grandmother, Donna, a large woman who disliked cramped movie theater seats. She remarked one day that she wished she could park her car in a movie theater. At its height, there were 4,063 drive-in theatres in 1958, but today there are only around 400 theatres left in the U-S.
Shankweiler’s, near Allentown, PA, opened in 1934, and it’s the second-oldest theatre and it’s still showing flicks, making it the longest continully operating theatre.
